Aconcagua Valley
Aconcagua Valley is a wine region located approx. 100 kilometers north of the capital Santiago, Chile. This warm climate is known for producing red wines with Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes. In the colder areas, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir are also found. The area is part of the "Denomination of Origin" (DO) in Chile, which defines that the wine produced here is of legally recognized quality.
