Age verification is a digital control that ensures customers wishing to purchase alcohol online are 18 years of age or older. The goal is to protect young people under the age limit and ensure a safe and responsible purchasing situation for everyone.
How it works
When you shop at Hans' Wine Club, you will be asked to confirm your age before completing your purchase.
We make the process simple and secure by using MitID as a method for age verification. When you proceed to payment, you simply log in with MitID, and your age will be automatically confirmed.

If you have created an account with Hans' Wine Club, we will store the information about your approved age verification, so you do not need to go through the process every time.
This allows you to log in and shop quickly and easily with your next purchase.
Why are we doing this?
Age verification is an important step in ensuring that alcohol is only sold to individuals over 18 years of age.
At Hans' Wine Club, our ambition is to ensure that you, as a customer, have a responsible, proper, and transparent shopping experience. We ensure this, among other things, by introducing age control and thereby preventing young people under 18 from shopping with us.
The Danish Safety Technology Authority has introduced a bill from October 1, 2024, which sets requirements for all webshops selling alcohol. The bill on online age verification is one of 30 initiatives in the political plan "A prevention plan aimed at children and young people - tobacco, nicotine, and alcohol."
