Château Brane-Cantenac
Located in the Margaux appellation in the Haut-Medoc region north of Bordeaux city is Château Brane-Cantenac, which is a 2emé Cru Classé property ranked in the 1855 classification. The property has been owned by Société Viticole Henri Lurton since 1992 and has been in the Lurton family's possession for four generations.

The property
has 75 hectares, and is planted with 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot,
4.5% Cabernet Franc and a little Carmenère. Château Brane-Cantenac produces two
wines – theirsGrand Vinthe name of the castle itself, and theirs2nd Wine
named after the owner in the 19th century; Baron de Brane. The wines are stored in
respectively 18 and 12 months in oak barrels.
The wines
from Château Brane-Cantenac is said to be more concentrated and heavy than others
Margaux wines, but still possess the epitome of elegance that Margaux is
characterized by.
