Chianti Classico
Chianti Classico is a sub-region within the Chianti area and lies between Florence and Siena. This area is more limited and known for producing higher quality wines than the rest of the region, thus Chianti Classico wines have a black rooster symbol on the bottles to distinguish them. Therefore, the producers in this region are also subject to stricter regulations and quality standards, for example the wines must consist of at least 80% Sangiovese, which makes the wines popular among wine lovers worldwide.
