Château Rauzan-Segla

Château Rauzan-Segla's history dates back to 1661, but during the 1855 Bordeaux classification of Sauternes and Barsac the vineyard was classified as a Second Grand Cru Classé. Since then it has been acquired by the fashion house Chanel in 1994 making it one of the pioneers of the 2eme Cru Classé vineyards.

The vineyard extends across 45 hektars planted with 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc. Rauzan-Segla's Grand Vin has taken the name of the property and the 2eme Vin is called "Segla", both acknowledged to be full-bodied and concentrated.
