A modern classic from the iconic Bordeaux chateau Château Beychevelle – and one of the most acclaimed vintages in recent times. 2015 was an excellent vintage in the Médoc with perfect ripening conditions, creating a wine with both power, elegance and great aging potential.

The wine offers intense aromas of sun-ripened blackcurrants, blackberries and cherries, beautifully balanced with notes of cedar, dark chocolate, tobacco and fine spices. The palate is full-bodied and silky with ripe tannins and a long, harmonious finish – classic Saint-Julien at its best.

Perfumed red with so much presence and brightness. Flowers, currants and blueberries. Some citrus. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Very fine and vivid. Better in 2022.

This elegant estate, with its views down to the Gironde estuary, has produced an excellent 2015. It is properly firm with tannins although this structure is well balanced with the ripe, stylish black-currant fruits and acidity. A juicy finish bodes well for the future. Drink this generous wine from 2025.

Sappy and fragrant red fruits, crayon and crushed roses, thoroughly charming and in its drinking window. Mouthwatering, finessed tannins, plenty of grilled cassis fruit, woodsmoke and leather, soft landing on the finish. Harvest September 22 to October 8, 60% new oak for aging, Philippe Blanc director.
