Low stock

Medium lemon-gold colored, the 2010 Coutet is relatively evolved, revealing honey nut, ginger ale and baked peaches scents with touches of straw, fresh figs, quince paste and nutmeg. The palate is considerably more mature than when I last reviewed this wine a couple of years old, so I suspect this bottle may have been slightly oxidized, nevertheless it offers loads of nutty nuances accenting the dried fruits, finishing deliciously spicy.

Medium yellow-green, gold reflections. Fine nuances of orange zest, a touch of herbs, discreet lanolin hint, some sea buckthorn, underlaid with a discreet apricot touch. Juicy yellow stone fruit, distinct sweet fruit, rather discreet acidity, powerful, candied orange zest, dried apricots and white pepper, salty touch, a full-bodied sweet wine which is already well developed.

The purity of Botrytis in this wine is so impressive with dried fruits such as apple and mango. And then spicy character. Full body and very sweet but it is incredibly fresh and lively. Such class and elegance. Perfectly manicured wine. Everything in the right place. This shows a delicacy and intensity that are spellbinding. Drink in 2018.

96-98. Stunningly rich in character, a wine with great power to go with its acidity and sweetness. It is dense, powerful and concentrated powered by honey and by spice from the wood. The finish has dried apricots, very aromatic.

Exquisite. Intense, richly layered, apricot with spices and acacia honey, dried pear and quince, and a remarkable citrus profile.
