Geoffroy Blanc de Rose is an exclusive non-vintage champagne from Cumières Premier Cru in Champagne, France. The cuvée is made from 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir and is produced by co-maceration, where the two grape varieties macerate and ferment together. This creates a special style that combines freshness, structure, and an elegant rosé character. Geoffroy himself states a dosage of 2 g/l in the current product sheet, while older producer material shows 3 g/l, so the cuvée practically presents itself as a very dry Extra Brut.
In the glass, Geoffroy Blanc de Rose appears as a refined and energetic champagne with a harmonious balance between the depth of Pinot Noir and the vibrancy of Chardonnay. The producer describes the wine as “fluid” and symmetrical, and external tasting notes highlight aromas of redcurrant, floral nuances, and pink grapefruit, which continue into a fresh, clean, and slightly linear taste with excellent grip and length.
This rosé champagne is an obvious choice as an aperitif, but Geoffroy also recommends it with raw fish, such as lightly marinated salmon, halibut, or tuna sashimi, which makes it particularly suitable for elegant and gastronomic servings. The product sheet states that the bottle is supplied in 75 cl.
