Aligote

Aligoté har været en del af det bourgognske vinlandskab i over 200 år, oprindeligt plantet side om side med Chardonnay. I dag har druen fundet sin plads på de mindre prestigefyldte lokaliteter – på plateauer og i dale, væk fra den dyrere jord reserveret til Pinot Noir og Chardonnay.

Aligoté viser sig fra sin bedste side i vinene fra den regionale Bourgogne Aligoté-appellation, og særligt i Bouzeron i den nordlige Côte Chalonnaise. Druen spiller også en nøglerolle i de mousserende Crémant de Bourgogne-vine.

Aligoté er en tidligt modnet varietet og mere frostresistent end sine mere berømte fætre, hvilket sikrer dens tilstedeværelse i køligere områder. Lige syd for Bourgogne findes små mængder Aligoté i Rhône-dalen, hvor den primært blandes med Chardonnay for at skabe lette, frugtede hvidvine i Châtillon-en-Diois.
