A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, the Orma 2020 Orma is richly concentrated and midnight black in appearance. It presents considerable intensity in terms of its ink-like flavors of wild plum, blackberry confit, dark spice and cured tobacco. The wine wraps heavily over the palate, imparting lots of important textural richness along the way. Generous and moreish. Third year on the Place for a wine that is pulling back on the slightly overblown extraction that you can find in the past. Made by the Moretti Cuseri family, 7.5ha of vines located in the same corner of Tuscany as Sassicaia and Ornellaia but with considerably less clay in its soils than other coastal areas of Tuscany, majoring instead on sand and gravel.
