Barolo
The Barolo wine region is located in the northwestern part of Italy, in the region of Piedmont. This region is particularly known for the production of some of Italy's most prestigious and complex red wines. The wines of this region are produced from the Nebbiolo grape and are usually harvested in mid to late October. The terroir in Barolo plays a decisive role in the character of the wine, where the warm, dry climate and the composition of the soil are ideal for the grape's long maturation period. Barolo's high quality has resulted in international recognition.
