Château Palmer 3ème Cru Classé 2022 is an iconic red wine from Margaux in Bordeaux, France, where the vintage is composed of 45% Merlot, 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 4% Petit Verdot. The grapes were harvested from September 7th to October 5th, 2022, and the estate describes the vintage as both powerful and fruit-driven with remarkable freshness and a beautiful balance between acidity, alcohol, and tannins.

In the glass, Château Palmer 2022 presents a deep and sophisticated profile, with notes of blackberry, cassis, dark cherries, violet, tobacco, and spices creating an intense and elegant aromatic picture. The taste is full-bodied, silky, and concentrated with fine tannins, great precision, and a long, harmonious finish where both dark fruit and classic Margaux finesse clearly emerge. Several descriptions of the vintage specifically highlight the wine's combination of sensuality, freshness, and structure.

Château Palmer 2022 pairs particularly well with beef, lamb, game, duck, braised dishes, and aged cheeses. It is a wine for those seeking a great Bordeaux with depth, elegance, and impressive aging potential. Supplied in 75 cl.

Thomas Duroux and his team opted to wait to pick the 2022 Palmer in pursuit of full maturity, taking advantage of the resilience of the estate's terroirs, and they have followed up with a brilliantly executed élevage that has retained pure, vivid flavors despite the wine's ripeness and unctuosity. Bursting with aromas of blackberries, crème de cassis, mulberries and violets, it's full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with a sumptuous core of rich, fleshy fruit framed by sweet, powdery tannins, taking on more and more floral nuances as it sits in the glass. This is one of the Médoc's most sensual wines this year. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

Mouthfilling, vivid blackberry and damson fruits, squid ink, cocoa bean, espresso, black coffee, crushed rose petals. Umami texture, with sea spray salinity on the finish, this is silky and knitted down, spice taking the place of acidity in the construction, skilful winemaking from director Thomas Duroux, yield 23hl/h.

98-100 Barrel sample. This majestic aromatic wine is fine and stylish. It has layers of rich black fruits and firm tannins. This will be a great wine that has acidity, structure embedded within it. The wine is rich, but beautifully textured and with a great future.

Deep dark ruby in colour with an opaque core, purple reflections, and subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose, a hint of incense, fine dark fruits of the forest, cassis, blueberry and cherry, with tobacco nuances, and a hint of mandarin zest. The palate is juicy, elegant and very balanced, with refined acidity, and very fine, supporting tannins, mineral, with a hint of red fruits on the persistent finish, very typical Margaux style, with assured development potential. About the grape

Serving
