de Venoge Princesse Brut Rosé is an exclusive non-vintage rosé champagne from Champagne, France, created as part of the house's elegant Princes range, which is inspired by the historic carafe-shaped bottles used by the aristocracy for champagne. The series was relaunched as a tribute to the house's classic “Champagne des Princes” tradition.
This rosé champagne is widely described as a very refined and inviting cuvée with a beautiful balance between freshness and soft fruit. Several sources indicate a dosage of 6 g/l, which gives a dry yet round and approachable style.
In the glass, de Venoge Princesse Brut Rosé presents an elegant rosé color and fine bubbles. The aromas offer notes of strawberries, redcurrants, gooseberries, and citrus, while the taste is experienced as fresh, silky smooth, and harmonious with a mineral and slightly lemony finish.
Several sources suggest that the cuvée effectively appears as a Pinot Noir-dominant rosé champagne, and some even state it as 100% Pinot Noir or Pinot Noir with added red wine from Pinot Noir for color and character. Because sources are not entirely consistent on the precise grape composition for the current N.V. release, it is safest to emphasize the style and taste profile rather than a fixed blend percentage.
This elegant rosé champagne is particularly well-suited as an aperitif, but it is also an excellent choice for lobster, salmon, sushi, seafood, and light starters. The bottle comes in 75 cl.
