Château Montrose La Dame de Montrose 2020 is an elegant and characterful red wine from Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux, with beautiful fruit, precise structure, and a more approachable style than the estate's Grand Vin. The vintage appears fresh, harmonious, and well-balanced with fine depth and classic Médoc character.

The aroma offers blackcurrant, blackberry, and black cherries, complemented by fresh herbs, roses, licorice, pencil shavings, and a subtle mineral hint. The taste is medium to full-bodied with silky tannins, juicy dark fruit, and an elegant balance between freshness, spice, and Saint-Estèphe structure in the long finish.

The wine pairs excellently with beef, veal, lamb, duck, and grilled, braised, and oven-roasted dishes – an obvious choice for fine dinners and special occasions.

Dark ruby, purple reflections, opaque core, a soft brightening on the rim. Nuances of fresh herbs and blackberries, fresh black cherries, hints of oak, nougat and candied orange zest. Medium complexity, red berries, taut, with still somewhat demanding tannins, mineral, lemony, a bit drying on the finish, needs time.

Firm, almost fierce tannins, packed with dark chocolate, pencil lead, graphite, blueberry and cassis fruit. Less generous than usual at this early stage, with muscle and a classically reserved character, bitter almond and tar on the close of play, give this a few years to soften. Harvest September 10 to 29. 30hl/h yield
