Château Cantemerle 5ème Cru Classé 2020 is an elegant and classic red wine from Haut-Médoc, Bordeaux, with dark fruit, refined structure and a charming, aristocratic expression. The vintage appears harmonious, fresh and well-balanced with great depth, polished tannins and a style that convincingly unites tradition, finesse and aging potential.

The aroma offers blackcurrant, dark cherries and plum, complemented by violet, cedar, tobacco, licorice, mild spices and a discreet hint of cocoa and herbs. The taste is medium to full-bodied with juicy fruit, fine acidity and an elegant structure, where dark berries, spicy nuances and a slightly mineral touch come together in a long, nuanced and vibrant finish.

The wine pairs excellently with beef, lamb, duck, game, as well as braised and grilled dishes – an obvious choice for classic dinners and for those seeking a Médoc with both charm, balance and great development potential.

The 2020 Cantemerle has turned out well in bottle, offering up aromas of rich black fruits, plums, pencil shavings and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, broad and fleshy, with ripe, powdery structuring tannins and a nicely defined finish, it's generous and expressive while remaining classically proportioned.

Dark ruby garnet colour, purple reflections, delicate ochre rim. Inviting nuances of liquorice, black forest berries, attractive bouquet, subtle hints of sea buckthorn and candied violets.
